Science Blast is a hands on STEM learning event for 5th grade students with teachers and professionals led by trained college and university student mentors.
 
The Jose M. Hernandez Reaching for the Stars Foundation is proud of its program and everyone has been very busy preparing for its success.

One hundred and forty-seven Teachers and Mentors are being trained, multitudes of science materials are being organized, hundreds of kits are being assembled and 40 classrooms in the San Joaquin Delta College Atherton Auditorium are being prepared.

We expect more than 900 5th grade students from Tracy and Stockton Unified School Districts to participate.

Science Blast Community Day is a free, one day experiential learning event open to the public for children and adults of all ages.  Event details coming soon.

Prep USA - Reach for the Stars Summer STEM Academy graduation for 7th to 11th grade students who completed the five week mathematics, physics and hands on engineering curriculum.

Join us in celebrating our 10 year anniversary!  Thousands of San Joaquin County students have benefited from our STEM educational programs, but we couldn't have succeeded without our valued partners.  The University of the Pacific, the County Office of Education, the United Way of San Joaquin County, San Joaquin Delta College, Stockton Unified School District and Tracy Unified School District will be honored for their continuous support and sponsorship.

The evening will include a "Taquiza" dinner, refreshing adult beverages and presentations of our programs and accomplishments.  Our celebration event is being held at a private residence in Lodi, CA.  Tickets are limited.
